Commandments

Several years ago I wrote a set of rules which Punch! software uses in order to set up vertical placement of walls and floors, in response to a question. I later published it on the Punch! Forum under the whimsical title "The Ten Commandments of the Vertical". Since that time I've written others in the series and will probably continue to do so until I run out of topics.

The thrust of these articles is short statements about how Punch! works to do what it does, rather than how to use it, this making the commandments statements of fact rather than opinion about how to best do something. Personally I like to know how things work on the inside. Only then do I truly feel that I can work with facility at something.

So, I'm re-publishing the articles here, updated and added to. Enjoy.
