MicroTools are the generaic name for plugin enhancements to the PlansPlus PowerTool, which in turn works within Punch! Home Design. This drawing may help to understand the relationship:
MicroTools are designed to provide Punch! plans with enhancements for particular purposes. For example, Dimensions in Detail provides extended dimension formatting for the dimensions in the plans: english and metric units, userdefined precision, unit abbreviations, localized decimal point and digit grouping formats, rounding, and even fractions of inches for english units. Another MicroTool, PlantTracks allows for different plants to use different plan symbology, necessary for easy use of Punch! in the landscape trade. All MicroTools apperate together and in concert, so the owner of both Dimension in Detail and PlantTracks get the advantages of both on the same plans.
MicroTools for PlansPlus are sold exclusively here, on the ThistleKeep Engineering website. You will find them economical and feature-packed. They are backed up with TKE's update guarantee, and the full text of the Help documentation is available for perusal on this website. Like PowerTools, you will be able to download and use the MicroTools immediately.

The Lite version, while it can't make changes to your plan directly, is an advisory tool to tell you waht settings to make and how to execute your plan so that the walls, floors, ceilings and roofs fit perfectly, and so that default conditions are such that objects added to a floor are at the floor's correct height automatically, neither sinking in or floating above the floor.
