Rest Area Database             A free RVTrek Pushpin Database

Introducing TruckTrek and RVTrek, a pair of pushpin databases for Microsoft Streets and Trips which are directed at the trucking and vacation travellers. Combined with one of the most powerful and easiest to use street-level mapping applications available, Rest Area Database provides the information that is needed - where the important trucker/vacation travel resources are, and a means to easily access the internet to locate followup data.

We are offering a free copy of our Rest Areas pushpin database as a way for you to see for yourself just how complete and precise our data is. The Rest Areas database, which specifically contains state-built rest areas, service areas and turnouts) is estimated to by 90% complete and 95% full checked for correctness, well above all other sources we have checked.
 
In addition to the free pushpin database a comma-separated variable (CSV) file in a format commonly referred o as POI is included of the rest areas. It is suitable for upload to a Garmin or other GPS units that can accept csv format with rows containing longitude, latitude, name and location information.
 
We are also happy to announce that we sell not only the complete TruckTrek and RVTrek databases, but also the basic category modules they are made up of:

These modules can be purchased and later traded-in for up to 75% of their value for a full-up version of the TruckTrek or RVTrek databases. All modules and full-up databases from TKE are updated on a twice-a-year basis, and your purchase buys a year's worth of updates. Subsequent year's updates are available to our customers for substantially less than the original price, as long as the subscripion is maintained.
