RVTrek can display a number of resources which are specific to the trucking company a trucker works for. These include marking the company approved fuel stops with special icons, and marking the company's terminals and drop yards.
Trucking companies usually make arrangements with truck stop chains and individual stops to approve the stop for their truckers in return for special fuel pricing. For the truckers, using the approved truck stops is mandatory except in an emergency. RVTrek, when purchased with a specific company's option, will display the approved truck stops with a white-on-blue icon rather than the normal blue-on-blue icon, so a trucker can see at a glance which stops along the route are available for fueling; for an example, see the depictions on the truck stop page. The words "Truck Stop" in the Info bubble are also changed to "Fuel Stop".
Trucking companies facilities usually include terminals and drop yards. Terminals are usually owned by the company and may include fuelling, repair facilities, drop yard facilities (the ability to drop and store an empty trailer securely) and parking to store a live trailer in transit, when, for example, drivers have to change. There are usually amenities for the company's drivers such as a lounge and rest rooms. A drop yard, on the other hand, is usually space leased from another company's facilities, where a driver may drop and store or pickup an empty trailer and possibly park for the night, but little else.
At right a drop yard is displayed for Martin Transport, in Pasco, WA. The Info box gives its location on I-182 at exit 14, and its mailing address in the remarks field. The first URL is to Martin's web page; the other two yield overhead images of the yard.
In order to have these resources on a copy of RVTrek, the person placing the order for RVTrek must indicate the company they work for in the application. If there is no such entry, the copy delivered will not have any company resources on it. The information delivered through this scheme is only that which is publicly available about the company or given to TKE with the explicit agreement that it may be published in this venue. That may include a check by TKE that the person named is indeed an employee of the company given, and if not, the order refused.
